Privacy Policy

Who this is

Ludwork is the consulting practice of Michael Ludwikowski, based in the United States. Contact: ludworkcontact@gmail.com.

What I collect

From the contact form, only what you type: your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give one, the topic you select, and your message.

Nothing else. There is no account to create, no newsletter signup, and no hidden field collecting anything you can't see. The form includes one hidden anti-spam checkbox that is invisible to people and only ever filled in by bots.

What I don't do

• No cookies. This site sets none — which is why you weren't shown a cookie banner.
• No analytics. No Google Analytics, no heatmaps, no session recording.
• No advertising or tracking pixels. No ad network is present on this site.
• No selling or sharing. I do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and I never will.
• No mailing list. Writing to me does not subscribe you to anything.
• No profiling. Nothing here builds a profile of you or makes automated decisions about you.

Why I collect it, and on what basis

To read your message and reply to it. That's the entire purpose. Where a legal basis is required, it is your consent — given by choosing to fill in the form — and my legitimate interest in responding to someone who contacted my business.

Who else sees it

Running a website means a few other companies necessarily touch the data. Here is the complete list:

Cloudflare

Hosts and serves this site. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes connection data including IP addresses and standard server logs. I don't have access to visitor-level logs and don't retain them. Their privacy policy.

Web3Forms

Delivers the contact form to my inbox. Your submission passes through their service in transit. Their privacy policy.

Google

Two separate things. This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests files from Google's servers and your IP address is visible to Google in the process. Separately, my inbox is Gmail, so messages you send me are stored there. Their privacy policy.

That's the whole list. No other third party receives anything.

How long I keep it

Inquiries stay in my email while there's a live conversation and for a reasonable period afterward in case you come back — realistically a couple of years. If we never end up working together and you'd rather I didn't keep it, say so and I'll delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California — you may have the right to see what I hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to how it's used.

In practice, for this site, all of that is one email. Write to ludworkcontact@gmail.com and I'll act on it. I'm not going to make you fill in a form to exercise a right, and I won't charge you or treat you differently for asking.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and it is encrypted. Form submissions are encrypted in transit. Beyond that, your message lives in an email account protected by standard account security.

Being straight with you: email is not a secure channel for sensitive information. Don't send account numbers, passwords, or anything you'd be unhappy to see in an ordinary inbox. If we work together and something genuinely confidential needs to move, we'll set up a proper channel for it.

Children

This site is for business owners and isn't directed at children. I don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change is significant and I have your email because you contacted me, I'll tell you directly rather than quietly editing the page.
